Golden Rules for Engaging Students in Learning  Activities
Nicholas Pino-James wrote 6 rules for engaging students. In short, we should make activities meaningful, provide support, embrace collaborative learning, establish the teacher-student relationship, and promote student growth by having them be the leaders of their learning. 

Sarah Young, wrote in her blog about engaging activities for students. It was a simple straight to the point blog post on how teachers can engage their students in the classroom. There are 14 activities that are great to use for your classroom.  It shows how students take an active role in learning.
